Par un bond en avant qui nous projette quarante ans plus loin, le dispositif imaginé par Alain Bublex interroge le public sur la manière dont il perçoit et transforme l’espace du quotidien. L’artiste fait de la nouvelle Galerie des enfants, fraîchement installée sur la Mezzanine, un paysage mystérieux, un lieu hors des cadres spatio-temporels habituels des visiteurs.
Sur les écrans, des robots informatiques diffusent en permanence des milliers d’images détectées de manière aléatoire sur Internet à partir d’une série de mots-clefs (maison, futur, habiter…) qui incitent à relativiser la stabilité apparente du quotidien.
Enfants et adultes sont invités à venir « habiter » ce terrain d’exploration collective, ou à le contempler à la manière de ces promeneurs qui, comme le dit l’artiste, s’arrêtent le long des barrières d’un chantier et « regardent le monde en train de changer ». (English version below)

Taking visitors forty years into the future, Alain Bublex’s exhibition asks them how they perceive and transform the space of everyday life. The artist has turned the Children’s Gallery, newly installed on the Mezzanine, into a mysterious landscape, a place outside the spatio-temporal framework we are used to. On screen, web robots display an ever-changing succession of random images culled from the Internet on the basis of a number of search terms (house, future, living…), putting into question the apparent stability of the way we live now.
 
Children and adults are invited to “inhabit” this terrain of collective exploration, or to gaze at it like the pedestrians recalled by the artist, who stop a while by a building site, “watching the world change.”
 
This exhibition has been produced with the support of the Région Pays de la Loire within the framework of its program Desin’in/Pays de la Loire, and the assistance of the École Supérieure du Bois.
